What is BBL?
BBL, or broadband light therapy, is an aesthetic treatment that delivers broad-spectrum and infrared light energy to the skin to address a number of skin concerns and improve overall skin health. The treatment also stimulates collagen production and triggers the body’s natural healing process. It can treat hyperpigmentation, redness, acne scars, rosacea, loss of elasticity, lines and wrinkles, and more.

The BBL Procedure
To start your BBL therapy, we’ll begin by cleansing the treatment area and giving you protective goggles to put over your eyes. We may also apply a cooling gel or topical numbing to the skin. From there, Dr. Hassanzadeh will use the handheld BBL device to deliver several passes of light energy to the skin.
For the face, the procedure usually takes about 20 minutes to complete. How many treatment sessions you need will depend on the results you’re looking for.
BBL Recovery
There is very little downtime with BBL treatment. You can return to your normal routine immediately, but you may have some swelling and bruising. Your skin will also likely be red for a few hours after treatment. You will want to wear sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun while it heals.
Who is a Candidate?
Ideal candidates for BBL are individuals in generally good health, nonsmokers, those with realistic expectations, and those struggling with hyperpigmentation, acne scars, visible signs of aging, and uneven skin tone and texture.
