The Jawline Contouring Procedure

The jawline contouring procedure begins with the administration of anesthesia for your comfort. From there, Dr. Hassanzadeh will make 2-3 incisions inside your mouth. Using specialized surgical instruments, she will shave down any bony prominences with a focus on the jaw, jawline, and chin. Based on the results you’re looking for, she will customize and tailor the degree of contouring to your needs.

Jawline Contouring Recovery

After your jawline contouring surgery, you may need to wear a compression garment and will use a medicated mouthwash for a week. You may have some swelling and minor discomfort, but it’s not usually a painful recovery. The side effects will dissipate as you heal, but you can apply cold compresses to help with discomfort and swelling.

You will want to plan for at least a week off work, and you should avoid strenuous activities and exercise for at least a few weeks after your procedure. In the weeks and months following treatment, as the swelling goes down, you will be able to see your final results.
